Shipping Dispatch Setup

Default Adhoc Stop Name - To save time, you can create a default stop name that is used whenever an adhoc stop is created on the calendar.

If no default stop name is entered in the Default Adhoc Stop Name field, the name of the adhoc stop will always require manual entry when the adhoc stop is created.

Shipping Dispatch Load No. Series - Select from the list to choose which number series the calendar will use as loads are created on the calendar.

Location Setup

You will be able to control several behind-the-scenes options that determine how the calendar will display for each of your locations. You will find that naming rows and naming columns are both housed under the ‘Related’ menu found near the top of an open location card, and the remaining six options discussed below are housed within the ‘Shipping Dispatch’ fast tab at the bottom of each location card.

Name the Rows / Name the Columns

With the intended location card open, you will click on ‘Related’ from within the menu options, then click on ‘Shipping Dispatch Board’. You will see the two items ‘Shipping Dispatch Row Label Setup’ and ‘Shipping Dispatch Column Label Setup’.

  • Shipping Dispatch Row Label Setup – After selecting ‘Shipping Dispatch Row Label Setup’ you will have access to naming rows on that location’s calendar. Under the column labeled ‘Caption’ simply type the desired name.

  • Shipping Dispatch Column Label Setup - After selecting ‘Shipping Dispatch Column Label Setup’ you will have access to naming columns on that location’s calendar. Under the column labeled ‘Caption’ simply type the desired name.

For the remaining options below, with the intended location card open, you will scroll down to the ‘Shipping Dispatch’ fast tab:

Number of Rows - The number of rows displayed can be set by typing the desired number into the ‘No. of Rows’ field.

Show Weekends - When toggled “on”, the calendar display will include weekend days.

Hide Truck - When toggled “on”, the ‘select truck’ button will not display on the order/load.

Hide Driver - When toggled “on”, the ‘select driver’ button will not display on the order/load.

Enable Column View – When toggled “on”, the calendar will now display multiple sub-columns within the existing date columns. (You will use the ‘Shipping No. of Columns’ field to set the desired number of sub-columns.) Then when viewing the calendar, you can toggle the column view button to see the multiple sub-columns within each date. You can label each of these sub-columns as you prefer, e.g. trucks, drivers, etc.

When column view is enabled from the location card, an additional button then appears on the calendar so that you can toggle the sub-columns on and off. When column view is not enabled from the location card, there is only one button on the calendar; it serves to show you that sub-columns are not enabled.

Number of Columns – The number of sub-columns displayed within each existing date column can be set by typing the desired number into the ‘Shipping No. of Columns’ field.

This refers to the how many sub-columns are displayed within the existing date columns and is only applied when ‘Enable Column View’ is toggled to “on”. Otherwise, the only columns displayed will be one per date, and the number of date columns is determined by the date range you have selected while viewing the calendar.
