Trailers

The ‘Trailer List’ page is where you can add, edit and delete trailers from the list. The information fields on this page include code, name, disabled status (checked/unchecked), and max weight. Trailers on this list are then available for selection when creating and editing trucks in the Truck List. Also, the maximum weight assigned to a trailer within this list will be automatically utilized by the system whenever that trailer is selected.

Add a New Trailer

When you’re ready to add a new trailer to the list, click on ‘+New’. Entering a code for the trailer is the only required field, name and max weight are optional. When you have added information in the desired fields, simply exit the Trailer List.

Edit the Trailer List

Clicking ‘Edit List’ gives you access to every field on the list of trailers. Simply type the new information into the desired fields and the system will automatically save your changes.

Delete a Trailer

Highlight the intended trailer by clicking anywhere on the trailer’s line of information. You will see an arrow pointing to the trailer’s line as well as the line being highlighted (unless you are already in ‘Edit List’ mode). Click on ‘Delete’ and you will be prompted to confirm that you wish to delete the selected trailer. Be sure you are on the intended trailer as this cannot be undone.

Disable a Trailer

You can change the status of a trailer to “disabled” when you want to temporarily avoid assigning loads to it rather than deleting it from the list. Simply click the box under the ‘disabled’ column within the ‘Trailer List’ page. When a power unit is checked as disabled, any truck that includes that power unit cannot be assigned to a load.

If a truck with a disabled power unit is selected for a load, a message like the following example will be displayed, “Disabled must be equal to 'No' in Trailer: Code=TRAILER 1. Current value is 'Yes'.”
